We called here for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago. I must say that everything was top quality. Lovely restaurant, pristine, food cooked to perfection and plenty of it. Great service and it was dog friendly too. We had one of the best Sunday lunches we have had here and I would highly recommend it.
Great little place good location 1min from train station 5min in town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good food..dog friendly which is a big plus .downside shower not very powerful. But would definitely recommend
We visited the Lamplighter with friends and family for dinner after our wedding, and it was incredible. Not only is the restaurant itself lovely, but the staff were excellent and the food was OUTSTANDING! We had a party of 9 and from the moment we walked in the door the staff were warm and friendly, and did everything they could to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and our meals. As there were nine of us, we had a decent sampling of the menu, and I can say that every dish was excellent, and I personally would recommend the dark chocolate torte (if it's on the menu). We will certainly be coming back to the Lamplighter and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. This place is a treat.
Absolutely amazing place and staff, we drove to Windermere to check in to another hotel who massively let us down so we're sitting in the carpark looking at our options and then we rang lamplighter the manager was so friendly he helped us no end. We definitely booked with him, we had a premier room and it was big,new and spotless. The staff were so welcoming and friendly,the breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay with them but I will highly recommend the lamplighter.
Just had a fab weekend at the Lamplighters. Fantastic food, room was great and the service from the staff was brilliant. Would highly recommend. James, Alistair and all the staff made us feel very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. We will be back
We had the Sunday roast (single plate not carvery) and it was delicious. Service was excellent and everything was reasonably priced. The food portions were huge!
We visited yesterday for the first time having some food there we had the lamb Sunday roast and it was absolutely delicious one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had everything was spot on highly recommend coming here
We only dined here. Food was very good. The desserts (champagne sorbet and dark chocolate torte) were excellent. Smoothest sorbet ever!
